Our Horses

Therapeutic riding horses are special. They must be gentle and kind, bomb-proof, and cooperative. Change through Chance is fortunate to have six therapeutic riding horses.

Freya

Freya is an 8-year-old Fjord mare with just the right gumption to help troubled youth forget about their problems!

With her outstanding mane and primitive good looks, Freya promises to be one popular pony!

Ace

This dark horse with a bright white blaze is Ace. A Quarter horse gelding who is 9 years old, he fit right into the program. He is so calm that he recently fell asleep during a lesson.

He was graciously donated to the program by his young rider outgrew him. She wanted him to go to a good home where he would have an important job to do.

Luke

Luke is a sorrel Quarter Horse gelding who is 15 years old. He is a retired rodeo horse who has also spent some years babysitting his owner's grandchildren.

Luke does exactly what his rider asks him to do.

This wonderful, super calm horse was donated to Change through Chance.

Tin and Marv

This pair of matched Haflinger geldings, Tin and Marv, have worked together for many years. You may have seen them pulling a float in an area parade! They both have wonderfully pleasant personalities and fit in well at Change through Chance. They are currently on loan to the program.

Buckaroo

Buckaroo is a miniature horse who loves people. She is just the right size to introduce tiny riders to the world of horses! And she is willing to help anyone who finds big horse intimidating. Come meet Buckaroo and fall in love!
